ahhhhhhhh Meyer lemon season. Right. On. I’ve eaten these lemons all the years I’ve been in CA, but, until recently, I had no idea what they were. All I knew was they looked like an orange, were delicious and had more juice than I’d ever experienced with either oranges or lemons. I also figured they were some type of lemon/orange hybrid. I looked them up on Wikipedia and enjoyed reading the Meyer lemon story. Originally from China.
Another addiction at the moment? Arugula (rocket salad). So peppery, so good.
very zesty Meyer lemon dressing:
2 Meyer lemons juiced in the juicer (with peel)
1 juiced orange (peeled)
olive oil
raw organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar
sea salt
fresh basil
2 cloves fresh raw garlic
These aren’t even Meyer’s … I already juiced the two I bought today.
chopped salad:
spinach
romaine
arugula
broccoli
apple
sugar plum tomatoes
raisins
parsley
cilantro
basil

yes, so GOOD! When I eat cleaner, I notice I taste ever single ingredient. This salad caused a mini taste bud explosion.
